Chiropractic spinal adjustments directly address four conditions of the spine: Misalignment, fixation, compensation, and subluxation.

Misalignments are bones out of place with otherwise unrestricted movement.

Fixations are bones in alignment with aberrant motion.

Both misalignments and fixations can produce local symptoms such as spasms, inflammation, edema, and pain.

Compensations are really secondary subluxations and can carry the same neurological implications.


Primary subluxations are bones or joints with aberrant motion and misaligment that put varying pressure at the spinal nerve root level thereby reducing the quality and quantity of mental impulse transmission from the brain to the cells, tissues, and organs of the body.

Many chiropractic techniques do not differentiate between subluxation and its cohorts. Pierce Results System is different. Our unique, in-depth analysis yields consistent, predictable results in as little time as possible by locating and correcting primary subluxations.

It is not necessarily bad to adjust or manipulate misalignments, fixations, or compensations. Doing so can be quite therapeutically beneficial, though the effects are often short lived.

However, by focusing on, adjusting, and correcting only the primary subluxation, optimal function is quickly restored to the master control system. When the nervous system functions optimally, misalignments, fixations, and compensations are automatically restored.

This process leaves the recipient not only feeling well again, but functioning at optimum performance both inside and out!
